HAPPY MOTHER"S DAY!!!😇😇😇😇
My mother is an angel! We got to skype our families last night, and even though only half my family was there (two sisters in Utah, one brother in Japan) it really filled my heart. We skyped at a members house, the Gregory's. They are way awesome! They were babtized in October, and have become like a mother and father to me here in Buckhannon. They are so coming to my wedding when I get married. I was happy to have both my family in Oregon and my family in West Virginia meet. What a wonderful gift, to have a home and loved ones even when I am 2,000 miles away from my family. Thank you, Gregory's!

I love my family, and they are what keep me going. My mission is just starting and it is far more difficult than I ever realized. I really needed that phone call. I feel filled and ready to take on the world. Please treasure and cherish your family, even if you do not share the same blood. Serve them in any way you can, and the Lord will pour out His blessings upon you.

I read this week in Doctrine and Covenants Sections 24 and 25. Revelation is given to Joseph Smith by the Lord. He counsels him to "magnify thine office," and "devote all thy service in Zion; and in this thou shalt find strength." The Lord continues, "Be patient in afflictions, for thou shalt have many; but endure them, for, lo, I am with thee, even unto the end of days...Attend to thy calling and thou shalt have wherewith to magnify thine office, and to expound all scriptures...And at all times, and in all places, [you] shall open [your] mouth and declare my gospel, both night and day. And I will give unto [you] strength such as is not known among men."

This is what I needed to read. This is the blessing of personal revelation. My gut, some would say. I know that the Lord lead me to this passage, and that the Holy Ghost made it possible for me to apply it to myself. Yes, this was written for a prophet, but it was also meant for me. This passage of scripture would not have meant so much to me if I had not faced what I have been facing the past few weeks. But I have been given strength beyond my own. The grace and Majesty of the Lord Jesus Christ distills upon my soul as the dews from heaven, and I am not left alone. I love the restored truths of the gospel of Jesus Christ. I am a disciple of Jesus Christ, the Son of the Living God- I have been called of Him to declare His word among His children, that they might have everlasting life. I feel your prayers. I love you all, so dearly. Thank you. Never give up, never surrender! Huzzah for Israel!

P.S. I am getting a new camera soon, so pictures to follow!!!!!!!!
