This week has been crazy! Transfers happened on Thursday, which is when missionaries are sent to different areas. My trainer, Sister Stettler, was sent to Appomattox, Virginia, and I stayed here in Buckhannon and got a new sister. She is from Texas and has been serving her mission for nine months so far. Her name is Sister Merrifield. Parting with Sister Stettler was harder than I thought. She is my best friend, and has made a huge impact on my life. I'm going to miss her. I do not know when I will see her again, but I know for sure that she will be there at my wedding. You hear that, Sister Stettler! XD
We also got a new car! It is a Rogue Something, 2015. Red. It's a mom car, and reminds me of Mini back at home. The change is weird and unsettling. Even change in vehicle upset me a little. But all is well :) For our last preparation day together, Sister Stettler and I toured the Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum in Weston. The Discovery Channel did a documentation on it, in their series call Forgotten Planet. Look it up, it's spooky! We did the 45 minute historical tour, and we may or may not have had a cute tour guide....hehe! After that, one of our Catholic friends took us on a tour of Saint Patrick's church (mini cathedral) in Weston. My oh my! I loved the inside! It is so light and there is lots of marble! It reminded me very much of the inside of the Portland Temple.
We found a new and strange bug in our apartment. Looks like a cross between a centipede and a scorpion. Way freaky. I captured it in a jar, gave it some banana, and hopefully get it to someone who knows what it is. Please pray for me- I do not like bugs all that much.
Mother's Day approaches! I will get to Skype/Facetime my family for about an hour on Sunday :) I'm so excited. Always let your family know how much you love them, especially mamas!
I love you all so dearly. My friends, my teachers, my fellow missionaries. You are all my family, and I love you.
